Peter Wastell
Principal – FIPA, FABRP, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner
Peter Wastell is the founding director and Principal at Verulam Advisory. A Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) and The Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) Peter is well known for finding innovative and cost-effective solutions for businesses facing financial problems and insolvency.
Peter has worked in the insolvency and restructuring profession since 1991 and was previously a partner in a large national firm.
He and his team provide a hands-on, personal and discrete service to clients with a particular focus on always keeping costs at manageable levels.
William Turner
Principal – ACA, MIPA, MAAT, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner
Will Turner has worked in the insolvency and restructuring profession since 1990 and was a partner and director with two national firms in London and the Home Counties before re-joining former colleague Peter Wastell in 2019. He founded our Bournemouth and Oxford offices and divides his time between our three locations.
Will is an Insolvency Practitioner and a Chartered Accountant. He has acted as Liquidator, Administrator, Administrative Receiver, Supervisor and Trustee in numerous situations and is known for his calm, sensible and cost-effective approach to problem-solving.
Katie Young
Director
Katie Young has nearly 20 years’ experience in the Insolvency Profession and is the newest addition to the Verulam team, working from our Romsey and Bournemouth offices. Her experience working within small, medium and national firms brings a huge wealth of experience along with the personal touch and relationships that you would expect from a local firm.
She has worked with a wide range of businesses from wholesale food suppliers, private schools, construction, engineering and fine art to micro breweries, pubs, restaurants, retail stores, football clubs and even a pet cemetery.
Katie has an approachable and down to earth manner that can help you come to the right solution for your clients, business and employees.
Alan Hine
Consultant
Alan trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant along with our Director, Will Turner, at one of Oxford’s leading local firms. He then went on to forge a 30+ year career in the recruitment industry, concentrating principally on the accountancy profession, where he has successfully placed countless professionals in both practice and industry. He has a proven track record of developing trusting relationships in the professional community and having lived and worked in Oxfordshire his entire career, is well known on the local scene.
Alan joined Verulam Advisory in 2021 as a Consultant and, working alongside Will Turner again, spearheads our Oxford office.

Complaints Handling
We are a regulated and professional firm, and we treat any complaints received very seriously.
In the first instance, you should deliver your complaint in writing, which will be acknowledged within 1 week. A full response will be issued within 3 weeks after the matter has been fully investigated.
If the matter is still not resolved to your satisfaction you can contact the Insolvency Service Complaints Gateway.
New Engagements
Any initial advice given in insolvency matters, in writing or by telephone, is given free of charge and without obligation.
If you wish to instruct Verulam Advisory thereafter, we will discuss your requirements, and how we can assist you. An Engagement Letter will then be sent to you which will set out the terms and conditions of the assignment, and the basis for which we will charge fees to you, or the insolvent estate.
